When should you write?
It is necessary to write an application in any case if an employee wants to switch from payment to a bank card to receiving cash at the cash desk.
There can be a variety of reasons for this: the employee may have lost his bank card, has no desire to enter into an agreement with the bank offered by the employer, it is simply more convenient for him to receive his salary in cash.
Let us immediately note that the employer does not have the right to refuse.
Some refer to the collective agreement, which is a local act of the organization and may specify that employees receive their salary on a bank card. But no one can force an employee to cooperate with the bank if the person is against it. Even the presence of a collective agreement in an organization is not a valid reason for refusal.
It’s another matter if the employee, when hired, signed an employment contract in which he agreed to pay wages to a specific bank card, and not in cash at the cash desk. In this case, it will be more difficult for the employee to prove that he is right, since in fact he is violating the terms of the employment contract.
It is much easier to write a statement if neither the collective nor the employment contract stipulated where the salary will be transferred. Then the choice is entirely up to the employee and he just needs to write about his desire and provide the document to the accounting department.
How to register to receive wages through the cash register?
This is an absolutely free document and is written arbitrarily.
It is important to indicate in whose name the request is being made. The application must contain the following information:
- Full name of the head of the organization and his position.
- Employee data, his position.
- The text of the application itself, which states that the employee asks to receive his salary and other payments at the cash desk of the organization (company name), starting from a certain period (specify the date or month).
- The date when the application was drawn up and the employee’s signature with a transcript.

It is important that the employer cannot force not only to receive wages on the card, but also to a specific bank in the first place. Often workers refuse bank payments precisely because they do not like the option offered by the employer.
In this case, you need to write an application either to transfer money to the bank account proposed by the employee, or simply give it in cash at the cash desk.
The employer should be aware that, according to Labor Law, an employee has the right to repeatedly change the form of receiving his salary. This means that the application can be submitted more than once, changing the method of receipt from cash to a bank card and vice versa.
Many accounting employees and heads of organizations justify their refusals by the fact that it is expensive for the company to transfer money to third-party cards or issue them in cash. This does not concern the employee. If an employee is comfortable receiving wages in cash, then the company should accommodate him. The main thing is to simply draw up the document.
If the employer refuses and does not cooperate, then the employee has every right to appeal to the Labor Inspectorate or directly file a claim in court. In this case, the court will most likely take the side of the worker and force the employer to pay wages in cash directly at the place of work, as prescribed in Art. 136 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

The employer cannot refuse such an employee under any pretext. They can offer and ask, but they can’t force or impose. This norm has been in force for a long time, it has not been canceled or changed.
There is an exception for state employees. They also cannot be forced to use a card, but the bank will not process the payment if the salary, by law, must go to the Mir card. Such a card can be obtained from almost any bank. "Mir" is a payment system, not a specific organization.
Is it possible to choose or change a bank?
Often employers independently choose the bank through which they pay salaries. But according to Art. 136 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, each employee who receives payment for work into a bank account has the opportunity to change the bank in which he is serviced. It is necessary to notify about a change in data for transferring funds no later than 15 calendar days before the next salary payment date.
But an employee has the opportunity to receive a salary at the place of work (Article 136 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation), at his own request, in cash - at the cash desk of the enterprise. It is not prohibited to transfer salaries to a card without a salary project, and these postings are handled by the accounting department by order of the employer. How to make an application
The application is written when signing an employment contract or later, when the employee needs it.

The company is obliged to transfer money strictly according to the data specified by the employee. Payment of the commission for transferring funds falls on the shoulders of the employer, and if the accountant makes a mistake during the transfer and the money goes to the wrong account, he will be held responsible for this.
Structure of an application for salary transfer to a card
The application for transfer of salary to the card indicates:
- Full name and position of the compiler;
- Full name and position of the employee to whom the document is addressed (as a rule, this is the general director of the company or the chief accountant);
- name of the document: “Application for transfer of wages to an account in a financial institution (bank card)”;

The document must be signed personally by the employee. Some companies practice certifying the fact of its receipt by the management secretariat or accounting department by affixing the date of receipt and signature of the secretary or responsible accountant on the application.
Who should I write the application to?
A request to choose a method of receiving a salary must be written to the name of the head of the company, and in his temporary absence, to the name of the official replacing him. The document requires expressing a request for the transfer of earned funds with the display of payment card details.

- A copy of the cover of the savings book with the account number (if the salary will be transferred not to the card, but to the account).

Why do you need to write an application to transfer your salary to a card?

Is it possible to receive a salary simultaneously on a card and at the company’s cash desk?
An employee can choose both a bank transfer and a payment through the company’s cash desk. To do this, in the application for salary transfer, the employee indicates what part of the salary will be paid in what way.
In practice, the following options are encountered:
- advance payment - in cash, the second part - by card;
- A fixed amount is issued in cash monthly, the rest is paid by bank;
- wages are divided as a percentage between both forms of payment.
Is it possible to refuse to pay salary to a card?
Often banks that provide services to organizations offer their clients salary project programs. This is beneficial for both the company and employees due to the preferential conditions offered by the bank itself.
Before implementing a salary project, the employer is required to collect applications from each employee to open personal accounts. Data on changes in salary payments are drawn up as an additional agreement to the employment contract.
The employee independently decides to join the salary project. In case of refusal, payment is made in cash or at the request of the employee using the details of another bank.
Do I need to notify the employee about receiving the card in a letter?
When an enterprise already has a payroll project, this means that the main stages of implementation have already been completed:
- management selected and agreed with the accounting department and employees of the bank;
- signed and registered an order to introduce non-cash wages;
- familiarized the staff with it against their signature;
- changed and re-signed the job descriptions of the accounting department employees;
- received applications from staff to transfer monetary remuneration for work to cards;
- We drew up and signed an additional agreement to the employment contract with each person.
Therefore, there is no need to separately inform employees about receiving “plastic”.
Is it possible to write an application for salary transfer to your card?
To receive wages into a bank account already opened by the employee that is not related to the company’s salary project, the employer’s permission is not required. It is enough to provide an application for transfer to a specific bank with all the details.
It is important to indicate the full details for the transfer in the application, otherwise the employer may refuse payment. In this case, the earnings will be given in cash, and the employee will receive a letter to clarify the details.
The bank commission for transferring funds in favor of individuals is paid by the employer. Withholding this amount from the employee's salary is illegal.

Can I transfer it to an employee’s salary card?
For a transfer to a salary card to be considered legal, the following conditions must be met:
- The agreement with the bank stipulates the possibility of transferring travel amounts to the card. When there is no such clause, all transferred amounts are classified as wages and are subject to taxes.
- The payment order correctly indicates the purpose of the payment.
- Errors and typos in payments are not allowed.
If the conditions are met, nothing prevents the employer from transferring travel allowances to the employee using a bank card.
If the transfer is not designated as a business trip, you will have to pay income tax.
Or the banking organization will not let it through at all, and the business traveler will be left without money.
