The production calendar shows the standard working hours for months, quarters and 2021 as a whole for different lengths of the working week (40, 36 and 24 hours per week), as well as the number of working days for a six-day working week with one day off. In accordance with the current procedure, the standard working time for certain periods of time is calculated according to the calculated schedule of a five-day work week with two days off on Saturday and Sunday, based on the following duration of daily work (shift):

  • with a 40-hour work week - 8 hours
  • with a 36-hour work week - 7.2 hours
  • with a 24-hour work week - 4.8 hours

The standard working time calculated in the specified order applies to all work and rest regimes.

Taking this into account, those working on a 6-day schedule in 2021 will rest as follows:

The New Year holidays will last eight days - from January 1 to 8;

On Defender of the Fatherland Day there will be an additional day off on February 24;

on International Women's Day - March 9;

in honor of the Spring and Labor Festival there will be two additional days off - May 1 and May 5;

on Victory Day - May 9;

on Russia Day - June 12;

on National Unity Day - November 4.

Production calendar for 2021 (6-day work week)

The following non-working holidays are established in Russia (Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation):

  • January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 — New Year holidays;
  • January 7—Christmas Day;
  • February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day;
  • March 8—International Women's Day;
  • May 1 - Spring and Labor Day;
  • May 9 - Victory Day;
  • June 12—Russia Day;
  • November 4 is National Unity Day.
  • Weekends may be transferred to other days by federal law or a regulatory legal act of the Government of the Russian Federation (Part 5 of Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

In 2021, Saturday and Sunday, January 4 and 5, will be moved to Monday and Tuesday, May 4 and 5 (Government Decree No. 875 of July 10, 2019). For a 6-day week, only one transfer works - January 5 to May 5.

At the same time, Thursday April 30, Friday May 8, Thursday June 11, Tuesday November 3 and Thursday December 31 will be shortened by 1 hour according to the “pre-holiday” principle. If, in accordance with a government decision, a day off is transferred to a working day, the duration of work on this day must correspond to the duration of the working day to which the day off was transferred (clause 1 of the Procedure for calculating the norm of working time, approved by order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation dated August 13, 2009 No. 588n) .

Taking into account the above, those working on a 6-day schedule in 2020 should rest as follows:

  • The New Year holidays will last eight days - from January 1 to 8;
  • On Defender of the Fatherland Day there will be an additional day off on February 24;
  • on International Women's Day - March 9;
  • due to the coronavirus epidemic - from March 30 to April 5;
  • in honor of the Spring and Labor Festival there will be two additional days off - May 1 and May 5;
  • on Victory Day - May 9;
  • on Russia Day - June 12;
  • on National Unity Day - November 4.

Non-working non-holidays

Days declared non-working due to the COVID-19 epidemic (Presidential Decrees No. 206 dated 03/25/2020, No. 239 dated 04/02/2020, No. 294 dated 01/28/2020):

  • from March 30 to April 30;
  • from May 6 to 8.

The exceptions are the organizations specified in clause 2 of decree No. 206, clause 4 of decree No. 239, clause 3 of decree No. 294, which are required to continue working during this period. For them, the number of working days, as well as the standard working time in March-May does not change (indicated in the calendar). For those who are subject to these decrees, the number of working days in March will be 19 instead of 21, in April 0 instead of 22, in May 14 instead of 17, and the standard working time will be 152 hours in March, 0 hours in April and 112 hours in May.

Additional non-working days:

  • June 24 - for holding military parades in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (Presidential Decree No. 345 dated May 29, 2020);
  • July 1 is the day of voting on amendments to the Constitution (Presidential Decree No. 354 dated June 1, 2020).

Calculation of standard working hours

The standard working time for certain periods (month, quarter, year) is calculated as required by Art. 91 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation and in accordance with Order No. 588n.

So, the norm for a particular month is calculated as follows:

the length of the working week (40, 36, 24, other number of hours) is divided by 5, multiplied by the number of working days according to the calendar of the 5-day working week of this month and from the resulting number of hours the number of hours in this month for which work is carried out is subtracted reduction of working hours on the eve of non-working holidays.

Important! The standard working time calculated in this manner applies to a 6-day working week.

Thus, when drawing up a monthly schedule for a 6-day week, it is necessary to ensure that not only the weekly limit (40-, 36-, 24-hour) is observed, but also that the total number of working hours does not exceed the monthly norm calculated in the specified above order.

Postponement of holidays to 2021

In accordance with part five of Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, for the purpose of rational use by employees of weekends and non-working holidays, weekends may be transferred to other days by federal law or a regulatory legal act of the Government of the Russian Federation.

In 2021, in accordance with Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated July 10, 2021 N 875 “On the postponement of weekends in 2021”, the following weekends have been postponed:

from Saturday 4 January to Monday 4 May;

from Sunday 5 January to Tuesday 5 May.

Since Saturdays are working days for workers with a six-day work week, January 4 will not be postponed for them.

“New Year holidays” for such workers will last from January 1 to January 8, 2021.

Shortened working days with a reduction in working hours by one hour in 2021 for workers on six days will be February 22, March 7, April 30, May 4, May 8, June 11, November 3, December 31 - a total of 8 days.

So, the norm for a particular month is calculated as follows:

Production calendar for October 2021: standard hours

The standard duration of work is limited by Art. Labor Code of the Russian Federation and must remain within 40 hours per week according to a five-day workweek schedule, regardless of the actual working hours. All hours that an employee works in excess are overtime and must be paid at an increased rate.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development, in Order No. 588n dated August 13, 2009, establishes the procedure for determining the standard time for the corresponding period, based on the weekly working hours entered by the employer. Considering that in October there are no holidays and, accordingly, pre-holiday days, on which work is reduced by 1 hour, the formula for calculating the normal duration of work in October is as follows:

Norm for October 2021 = Established length of the working week (in hours) / 5 x 22 working days

According to clause 1 of the Procedure introduced by Order No. 588n, the calculation is made according to the five-day calendar. That is why the following indicators appear in the formula:

  • 5 – number of working days in a week;
  • 22 – number of working days in October 2021.

The result obtained will be relevant for the six-day period.

Example. Calculation of normal hours for October

The employer has established a 37-hour six-day work week. Working hours in October will be:

37 hours / 5 x 22 = 162.8 hours.

If a five-day week had been introduced at the enterprise, the October norm would also have been 162.8 working hours.

Let us calculate the standard hours for October 2021 for different cases of the hourly length of the week:

Duration of the working week, hours 40 38 36 35 32 30 24 22 18
Number of working days in October 2021 (5 days) 22
Calculation 40 / 5 x 22 38 / 5 x 22 36 / 5 x 22 35 / 5 x 22 32 / 5 x 22 30 / 5 x 22 24 / 5 x 22 22 / 5 x 22 18 / 5 x 22
Normal working hours in October 2021, hours 176 167,2 158,4 154 140,8 132 105,6 96,8 79,2

Work and rest calendar for 2021

In Art. 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation lists all non-working dates in the Russian Federation:

  • from January 1 to January 8;
  • Jan. 7;
  • February 23;
  • March 8;
  • 1st of May;
  • 9th May;
  • 12 June;
  • November 4.

If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, it moves to the next business day. But regarding the New Year holidays, the Government moves two days off to other days of the year. New Year 2021 was no exception and the Government approved the postponement of the following days:

  • Saturday January 2 is moved to Friday November 5;
  • Sunday January 3 is moved to Friday December 31;
  • Saturday 20 February is moved to Monday 22 February.

Taking into account the postponements, we expect the following weekend:

  • New Year holidays and Christmas from January 1 to 10;
  • February holidays from February 21 to 23;
  • Women's Day from March 6 to 8;
  • May holidays from May 1 to May 3;
  • Victory Day from May 8 to 10;
  • June holidays from June 12 to 14;
  • days of unity from November 4 to 7.
  • 31th of December.

Remember that the transfer of Saturday depends on whether you have a five-day or six-day work week. For the former, Saturday is a day off, and for the latter, it is a regular working day. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, then for a five-day period it will be moved to the next working day. And on a six-day period there will be no transfer - you will simply rest on this day.

Shorter working days

By law, pre-holiday working days are reduced by 1 hour. In 2021, these dates will be: 20.02, 30.04, 11.06 and 03.11.
