Here you need to check whether the volume letter is assigned to the media, i.e. letter C, D, E, etc.
- Find the required media based on its size, name, label.

Occurrence of error 503 in reporting
Data transfer for enterprises with over 25 employees is carried out electronically . To transmit the report, the FSS automated workplace program is used, implemented through a gateway for receiving documents from an electronic signature or through a web service. The service developers continue to refine it taking into account legislative innovations and user comments. If the user is using an outdated version of the program, the calculation will not be accepted. The software must be updated regularly to ensure the latest version.
When reporting, the user receives a protocol of positive or negative nature. One of the reasons for a negative report is the “503 error”, indicating that the report was rejected in the following cases:
- The file format is incorrect.
- Format and logical control failed.
If a report is refused to be accepted on a formal basis and a negative protocol is sent, the report is considered not submitted, which equates to a violation of the law and the obligations of the taxpayer.

Errors in the protocol and how to correct them
The control body uses special codes to describe errors.
They are numeric and have individual decoding. Each error is assigned a separate code. When inaccuracies are discovered during the verification of the report, the document is returned to the company’s accountant indicating the code and a description of the detected errors. Some errors are more common than others. A fairly common inaccuracy is marked as 503. This means that the artist specified the wrong file name, and it does not match the XD schema. As a result, the XML document containing the report failed to pass format control. Example 1 . The policyholder (number in the registration documents is 1236984212) submits a report for the second quarter of 2021. The accountant wrote down the file name as follows: It was returned to the policyholder indicating error code 503. Where did the accountant make a mistake? Both the 10-digit policyholder number and the year are correct. But the last number 02 is incorrect. Obviously, this is how the accountant indicated that the report contains data from the second quarter. These numbers are incorrect, since the instructional materials define a different designation:
- For the first quarter, you should record 03 (data for three months).
- II quarter – 06 (for six months).
- III quarter – 09 (nine months).
- IV quarter – 12 (year).

Possible causes of error 508
Practice shows that most often accounting workers do not fully carry out logical control of the data in the compiled report. They do not check the numbers in individual columns, which must match or simply depend on one another. As a result, the report does not pass logical control; it is returned to the contractor with an error notification with code 508. These three numbers mean the presence of a logical error. In this case, it is necessary to correct the amounts in which it is present. Inaccuracy 598, its causes and correction
The presence of an error indicated by code 598 means that the TIN number is incorrectly indicated in the sent file. It does not match the one listed in the registration documents. The mistake could have been made by:
- accountant;
- special communications operator through whom the report was signed and sent.
What should you do in this case?
- Double-check the TIN at the company. The accountant must compare the correct TIN number by number with the one indicated in the file on the title page.
- When the policyholder has everything entered correctly, you should contact a specialist from the operator’s company and check the numbers with those listed in his database. It is possible that a typo was hidden there.
There is no third reason for error 598.
Other errors in the FSS report
Among other inaccuracies, the list of which is significant, the following are often encountered:

Often the error is due to problems with the certificate. It may be recalled (43), not found (44), damaged (45), expired (46). It is possible that the registration number of the policyholder (13) is not recorded in it or the code of the required division of the social insurance fund (14) is not written down. The certificate may not contain the policyholder's TIN (50); it may indicate a division of the Social Insurance Fund that does not exist (504). If code 599 appears, this means that the policyholder will have to contact technical support. The numbers indicate an internal error in the module for monitoring information received from the accountant.
No confirmation was received for the report sent to the FSS
In response to the reports sent to the FSS, the following confirmations are received:
- “Confirmation of receipt of the report by the operator” – within 2 hours after sending the report.
- “Notice of delivery to the FSS” - within a few hours (no more than 3) after sending the report
- “FSS check result” – within 24 hours after uploading the report to the FSS gateway, i.e. after receiving the “Notice of delivery to the FSS”.

Correction instructions
The procedure for correcting errors in Social Insurance reporting depends on their type. Special reconciliation programs allow you to identify shortcomings even before sending the form to Social Security.
All types of errors that arise during the formation and submission of 4-FSS calculations are described on the official website of the Fund. The most common are failures of electronic certificates (EC) and electronic signatures. Errors arise due to the fact that the Social Insurance Fund regularly updates cryptographic data protection certificates. This is necessary to save and secure reporting information from malware and hacker attacks.

Decoding error codes for FSS reports

Receipts with error 10 “File decryption and digital signature verification” are being received en masse from the Social Insurance Fund. This error is associated with updating the certificate on the FSS side. The special operator, for his part, updated this certificate, but some of the reports continue to receive errors. There have been no official comments from the FSS yet.
Recommendation: repeat sending the report in 1-2 days.
