"Platon" is a state system for collecting tolls for large freight vehicles. Persons of legal and physical status must register in the system in a timely manner and pay for the use of public roads. Collections received by the Platon system go to the budget and are distributed to the Road Fund of the Russian Federation (DF RF).

Legal entity registered outside the Russian Federation:

certificate of state registration of a legal entity;
certificate of registration with the tax authority of the Russian Federation, if the Owner of the Vehicle is registered with the tax authorities in the Russian Federation;
provisions on a branch/representative office - if there is a registered branch/representative office in the Russian Federation;
a document confirming the powers of the sole executive body.

The documents specified in this paragraph are presented by the Owner of the Vehicle or his authorized representative with a translation into Russian, the accuracy of which must be notarized in the manner prescribed by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

If the Vehicle Owner, who owns the Vehicle on a basis other than the right of ownership, applied to conclude an Agreement for the free use of the On-Board Unit, then such person is obliged to provide a copy of the document providing the basis for the emergence of the rights of such person.

If a representative of the Vehicle Owner applies to conclude an Agreement for the free use of the On-Board Unit, then, in addition to the documents specified above, the Operator checks whether the representative has a document drawn up in accordance with the Legislation confirming the availability of the appropriate powers (power of attorney).

The authorized representative of the Vehicle Owner submits a copy of the document confirming the authority of the representative of the Vehicle Owner, and also submits the originals for verification:

identification document of the authorized representative of the Vehicle Owner;
a document confirming the authority of the representative of the Vehicle Owner and valid on the date of application.

Copies of all (any) documents submitted to the Operator must be executed by the Vehicle Owner as follows:

when certifying the compliance of a copy of documents with the original, a certification inscription is affixed below the “Signature” detail: “True”; position of the person who certified the copy and seal (if applicable); personal signature; decryption of the signature (initials, surname); date of certification, and also a note is made about where the original document is located.

According to the law, owners of trucks whose weight may exceed 12 tons are required to pay a fee to Platon for damage to federal highways. Registration of individuals in the Platon system via the Internet

Drivers of vehicles falling under Federal Law No. 257 can independently register in the Platon system. To do this you need:

How to get the Plato on-board device

To receive an on-board device after registering in the Platon system, you need to contact the user information support center in order to conclude a free use agreement. Addresses of service centers can be found on the official website platon.ru/ru.

After concluding a contract for free use, the service’s customer support center will issue an on-board device packed in a box. The kit also includes an instruction manual. Free warranty service is only possible if you have the box and documents indicating the fact of delivery of the device and the date of the event, so they must be kept. The on-board unit passport should always be carried along with the documents for the car. Its absence is comparable to operating a vehicle without on-board equipment.

Cost of equipment

The on-board device is the property of the state. The equipment is used in its interests in order to save budget funds related to the provision of the transport industry in the field of construction, restoration and reconstruction of the roadway. The state is interested in equipping vehicles with the device, so it is issued free of charge to car owners to organize and systematize the procedure for collecting financial payments from them. How to install Plato after receiving the device

After receiving the device, the vehicle owner should:

degrease the attachment point;

secure the equipment to the windshield using adhesive tape;

If you do not have a cigarette lighter, you will need to purchase a 12V-24V adapter to connect the device. The battery that the device is equipped with allows you to work for some time without connected power. According to the free use agreement, it is prohibited to open the device case or change the batteries.

It is recommended to disconnect the device from the on-board network before each start of the vehicle engine, as voltage surges are possible. When the air temperature is below 10°C during stops, the device should be taken out of the cab.

Documents provided by legal entities non-residents of the Russian Federation must be translated into Russian. The accuracy of the translation must be notarized in the manner prescribed by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

You can register in the system in various ways, but there are general rules for submitting documents. It doesn’t matter whether you submit an application via the Internet or an information support center as an individual, individual entrepreneur, legal entity (Russian or foreign), you must provide:

information about the owner of the vehicle - an identity card, a power of attorney from the owner's representative, a certificate of registration and registration (for a foreign company - an additional notarized copy of an extract from the register of organizations of their country and a certificate of registration);
information about the vehicle - certificate of state registration of the vehicle (in the online form - also state number, make, model, VIN code and maximum curb weight of the vehicle);

Also, when applying online, you must attach scans of the specified documents. Next, you can begin to receive an on-board device, which will directly control the route (via GLONASS or GPS) and debit funds from your account.
